1. Scope and operator

This policy describes the current Rain Bee iOS application and this policy page. Rain Bee is a nature-based wellbeing app for gentle activities, walking routes, journal memories, garden progress, and optional sharing actions.

The legal operator of Rain Bee has not yet been confirmed in the project materials reviewed for this draft. The operator’s legal name and a working privacy contact must be inserted before publication.

2. Data used by the current app

The reviewed build can handle the following information on the device:

• Onboarding state: whether onboarding has been completed is stored locally using Apple’s app preferences system.
• Profile and preferences: a nickname, activity mode, voice-guidance setting, contrast setting, reminder toggle, and sharing choices are held in app memory while the app is running.
• Journal and progress: titles, written notes, completion dates, route or area labels, garden progress, and sharing flags are held in app memory in the current implementation.
• Family Circle information: names, relationships, and a selected check-in contact shown by the current build are local sample or in-memory values. The reviewed code contains no Rain Bee account, invitation service, contact upload, or Family Circle backend.
• Selected photos: when you use Apple’s photo picker, the selected image is loaded temporarily for preview on the Add Memory screen. The reviewed code does not add that image to the saved journal entry and does not upload it.
• Route information: the app displays predefined route names, coordinates, distances, and accessibility descriptions. The reviewed code does not request the device’s live location.

Important: labels such as “Shared with Family Circle” or “Send Check-In” currently change local interface state only. The reviewed build does not transmit a journal memory or walk status to another person.

3. Photos, location, microphone, and notifications

• Photos: Rain Bee uses Apple’s system photo picker only after you tap the photo control. The picker lets you choose an image without giving the app unrestricted access to the entire photo library.
• Camera: the reviewed build does not include a camera capture flow and this policy page does not access a camera.
• Location: the Xcode project contains a location-purpose description, but the reviewed source does not use Core Location or request location permission. Maps show predefined routes.
• Microphone: the project contains a microphone-purpose description and a voice-note timer interface, but the reviewed source does not record, save, or upload audio and does not request microphone permission.
• Notifications: the reminder toggle does not request notification permission, register for push notifications, or schedule local notifications in the reviewed source.

If a future build activates any of these capabilities, its implementation, permission text, and this policy must be reviewed together before release.

4. Storage, retention, and deletion

The current app has no Rain Bee server storage. Apart from the onboarding-completed preference, the reviewed model stores working data in memory, so it is not designed to persist after the app process ends.

The in-app Clear Data action removes completed quest identifiers, journal entries, garden progress, Family Circle values, and the selected check-in contact from the current model. It does not reset the separate onboarding-completed preference. It also cannot remove an original photo from your Photos library or data controlled by a service selected from Apple’s share sheet.

No operator retention period or backup policy applies to a Rain Bee backend in the reviewed build because no such backend is present. Apple services and any share destination may retain technical or shared data under their own policies.

5. Apple services and sharing destinations

• Apple MapKit: Rain Bee uses MapKit to render maps and route lines. Map loading can involve requests to Apple, including ordinary network information such as an IP address. Apple controls its processing.
• Apple Photos picker: Apple provides the system picker used to select an image. Rain Bee receives only the item you choose through that picker.
• Apple Share Sheet: tapping Invite Someone opens the system share sheet with a static invitation sentence. Nothing is sent until you choose a destination. The selected app or service then handles that message under its own privacy terms.

No third-party advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, artificial-intelligence, payment, or social-network SDK was found in the reviewed app target. Build and App Store delivery tooling is not part of the app’s runtime data flow.

6. This policy page

The HTML file itself loads no external scripts, fonts, images, trackers, or analytics. It does not set cookies and does not use local storage. In a normal browser, the Agree button only moves focus to the full policy; it does not save app consent.

If this page is later hosted online, the chosen hosting or CDN provider may process IP addresses, request times, user-agent information, and security logs. No hosting provider or public URL is configured in the reviewed project, so those practices must be documented before publication.

7. Your choices

• Do not choose a photo or open the share sheet if you do not want to use those optional actions.
• Use Clear Data to remove the categories described in Section 4 from the current app model.
• Use iOS settings to review permissions if future versions request them.
• Delete Rain Bee from your device to remove its app container, subject to normal iOS and backup behavior.

A verified privacy contact is required before users can submit access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests to the operator.

8. Children and intended audience

Rain Bee is designed for adults, with particular attention to people aged 55 and older. The current app has no account registration or age-verification flow. The operator must confirm any market-specific children’s privacy statement before publication.

9. Changes to this policy

When Rain Bee’s data handling changes, this policy should be updated with a new effective date and version. A page update alone does not force an already installed app to request consent again; native app behavior must be updated separately when required.
